Why Plumpton Revival Is More Than a Music Festival

Plumpton Revival brings together rock, blues, tribute acts, circus, comedy, cinema, disco, vintage culture and 1970s nostalgia for one immersive weekend at Plumpton Racecourse.

Yes, the music matters.

Of course it does.

Plumpton Revival is built on the legacy of the original festivals held at Plumpton Racecourse in 1969 and 1970 — weekends that helped shape a crucial chapter of British rock, blues and counterculture history.

But the 2026 Revival is not just a stage in a field.

It is a full weekend world.

Across 8–9 August 2026, Plumpton Racecourse will be transformed into an immersive celebration of late-60s and early-70s festival culture. Expect live music, tribute acts honouring the original era, nationally touring blues and rock artists, vinyl DJs, vintage theming, retro visuals, circus, comedy, disco, festival cinema, walkabout performers, food, drink, markets and more.

The idea is simple: to make people feel like they have stepped into another time.

A time of loud guitars, big colours, open fields, strange characters, handmade signs, vinyl records, flared jeans, sun-faded memories and the sense that something special might happen at any moment.

Plumpton Revival is about honouring the past without becoming a museum piece. It is about taking the feeling of those legendary festival weekends and rebuilding it for a new generation.

Whether you come for the music, the history, the campervan weekend, the comedy, the circus, the cinema, the fashion, the nostalgia or just the atmosphere — Plumpton Revival is designed to be explored.

This is not just a gig.

This is the Revival.
