Everything you need before you come
The lineup’s locked and the tent’s in the loft - all that’s left is the practical bit, and we’ve put every last piece of it here. Give it a proper read before you pack, then save it somewhere easy to reach. Signal on site can be patchy, so this is exactly what you’ll want to hand halfway down the A27.

Getting here
Know your entrance
There are two entrances this year - please use the What3Words or Google Maps link for yours. Head to the right one.
By Car
In the heart of the Sussex countryside
Tucked between Lewes and Haywards Heath, and easy to find once you’re on the right road. From the A27, follow signs to Lewes, then take the B2192 and B2116 towards Plumpton. Coming from the north, the A23 and A272 give a straight run from London, Brighton and Gatwick.
Address: Plumpton Racecourse, Plumpton, East Sussex, BN7 3AL.
Please use the entrance links above rather than a general postcode - it helps traffic flow all weekend. The lanes around Plumpton are narrow, so fill your car if you can, take it steady on the approach, and follow the marshals once you’re on site.
General parking is on-site this year - follow the signs and marshals to the parking areas via the All Other Vehicles entrance (see above). Passes should ideally be booked in advance, but we’ll take payment on the gate if you don’t sort it before you travel.
By Rail
Step off the train, into the festival
Plumpton Station sits directly beside the racecourse, which makes the train far and away the easiest way in - off the platform, short walk, straight to the gates. No parking, no queueing, no nominating a driver.
Regular Southern services run from Brighton, Lewes and London Victoria, with connections from Gatwick and across Sussex.
One thing worth doing: check for engineering works before you travel, and know your last train home if you’re not camping. It’s a small station and the timetable thins out in the evening - there are trains after the last act, but only southbound on the Sunday.
Fire Safety
Please read this bit
It’s been a hot, dry summer and the grass on site is tinder-dry. We’re not being killjoys - one stray ember could take the whole field. The fire rules are strict this year, and we will enforce them.
Not allowed anywhere on site:
- Disposable barbecues
- Anything burning coals, charcoal or wood
- Open fires and fire pits
- Anything that produces embers or hot ash
The rules around fire and cooking:
- Clean flame only. Gas burners, camping stoves and built-in setups are fine - anything that smoulders is not.
- Nothing burns on the ground. All burners must be raised off the grass. No exceptions.
- General camping: cook in the designated cooking area only - no cooking or naked flames near tents.
- Campervans: cook on your own pitch or inside your vehicle. Built-in setups and gas hookups fine, bottles up to 10kg - anything larger stays at home.
Any breach may result in removal from site. Cook clean. Keep it off the grass.
Camping
What's allowed, what isn't
- Bring your own food and drink to the campsite - it’s your pitch, fill your cool box.
- No food or drink can be taken into the arena - grab something from the traders once you’re through the gates.
- Alcohol in the campsite is absolutely fine, with one hard rule: no glass anywhere on site. Decant into plastic before you travel.
Eat at the tent. Drink at the tent. Dance in the arena.
Campervans
Before you set off
- Arrive with your water tanks full. Filling points on site are limited, and drinking water only - no heavy-duty top-ups.
- Grey water disposal is limited. Come with tanks empty and be prepared to take your waste water home with you.
