Official Cider Partner Announced

Plumpton Revival is delighted to announce South Downs Cider as the Official Cider Partner of this summer's festival.

South Downs Cider is a craft cider producer based at Northease near Lewes, right in the heart of the Sussex South Downs. Which is to say: they are very much local, and they have the accent to prove it.

Their ciders are made in the traditional 'Eastern Counties' style, using eating apples from a single Sussex grower - Cox, Braeburn, Windsor, Worcester and Gala. Everything happens at their own cidery. The apples are milled and pressed on site, then the juice is left to ferment and mature for a minimum of six months before any of it goes near a bottle, can or keg.

Alongside their medium and dry staples sit some rather good flavoured ciders, including elderflower and rhubarb, both pressed from fresh fruit. Every product is made from 100% apple juice and is gluten free, sulphite free and vegan friendly.

It is a proper Sussex operation, run by people who clearly care a great deal about getting it right - which makes them a natural fit for Plumpton, and good company alongside Harvey's of Lewes.

South Downs Cider will be pouring across the site all weekend.
